Hey there — I’m Tony Mueller, and this is Phine Art Photography.
My goal has always been simple: I want you to feel what I see. Whether it's a quick snap on the fly or a carefully composed shot under festival lights, I create images that carry emotion. That’s what Phine Art is all about — photography that connects.
My journey started way back in middle school with a tiny digital camera, always looking for weird angles and beautiful moments. That curiosity turned into passion, and even after some setbacks (like when my first real camera was stolen from my car), I never gave up on the idea that I could tell stories with light.
It was during a second round of college — this time for graphic design — that something clicked. I started restoring old family photos in Photoshop and then editing my own travel shots from places like Peru and Canada. That’s when I realized: this is what I’m meant to do. With some incredible support from my friends, I got my hands on a new camera — and I haven’t stopped shooting since.
Things really took off at Summer Camp Music Festival 2018. From there, I started shooting concerts, portraits, weddings, and everything in between. I realized I had a lot more to say with my lens than just landscapes — and I’ve been chasing that feeling ever since.
One of my proudest moments was photographing the album cover for my friends in Armchair Boogie, who’ve supported me since day one. Their trust helped open doors — including work with Maximum Ink and now, Grateful Web, where I get to combine my photography with concert reviews and written stories. You can often find me behind the lens at Driftless Music Gardens, one of the most magical venues in the Midwest, capturing unforgettable performances under open skies.
When I’m not shooting, you’ll find me out snowboarding in the winter or playing disc golf all summer long — anything that gets me outside and in motion. It’s all part of how I stay inspired.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my work. If you’ve got an idea, a vision, or just a moment you want to remember — hit me up. Let’s make something beautiful together.
Much love,
Tony
